SMT Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all related work instructions, achieve quality goals and production targets, and comply with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Perform PCB loading/unloading, transfer conveyance, screen printing, SM machinery, and reflow oven operations.
• Do setup and teardown of cassette, tray and vibratory feeders, and hand-place components.
• Log-in to the Surface Mount Management System (SMMS) database at startup and log data as necessary.
• Report to your team leader and inform SMT Technicians of all problems and issues. Log all data related to SM problems in the SMMS database.
• Apply your knowledge of IPC specifications related to SMT assembly. Ensure quality meets or exceeds quality requirements.
• Perform basic daily cleaning of machine surfaces, scrap bins and surrounding SMT production areas (5S).
• Meet or exceed production targets.

Education/ Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Surface mount and computer skills preferred.

Controls Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, and directs technical work involving new and existing automated processes. Provides technical support for existing automated processes.

• Oversee all control/automated systems for production.
Oversee the successful operation of all control/automated systems for production with a focus on safety, quality, volume, and cost (SQVC). These systems include but are not limited to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and all associated communication and Inputs/Outputs (I/O), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) or touch panels, safety systems and safety circuits, traceability and bar coding systems, bowl feed systems, vision systems, robotics, torque and screw blow feed systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), servo control, pneumatic systems, and miscellaneous instrumentation and sensors.
• Update, Upgrade, and support automation Equipment.
Provide updates as needed for SQVC to the control systems mentioned above. Provide daily support to equipment as needed and communicate lessons learned to technical staff.
Design and Build new automation control systems.
Reduce downtime and increase process efficiencies.
• Monitor daily downtime metrics with the team. Prioritize downtime and efficiency losses. Create plans to solve each issue and report results. Systematically eliminate issues through a Plan Do Check Adjust (PDCA) process.
• Lead troubleshooting, diagnosing and correcting production equipment.
• Lead and develop Controls and Process Technician on competency to troubleshot and support automation controls.
• Develop programming and equipment standards for automated systems.
• Have early input on future equipment/processes in concept and development stage.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelors, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 10 years’ experience in Technical manufacturing role involved in PLC and programming.
• Capable of designing and building new automation control systems.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Denso & Fanuc Robotics.
• Allen Bradley PLC.
• Labview a plus.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must excel at working in a team environment.
• This position requires that the person be able to work independently.
• Must have very strong excellent oral and written communication skills

Manufacturing Technician I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Technician I’s function is to provide technical support to all the production equipment & machinery on the plant floor. The Manufacturing Technician I will install, troubleshoot, program, repair any issues with equipment; along with providing maintenance support for the entire facility.

• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Coordinate with Vendor’s on necessary outside repairs and new equipment needs.
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
• Advises operators and technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic equipment and components.
• Provides support and training to operators and assembly personnel when necessary on various equipment & machines.
• Informs appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
• Assist in plant maintenance internal and external activities including coordinating outside contractors and verification of work completion.
• Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
• Performs routine & preventive maintenance functions as directed; for all production equipment.
• Any other activities that are deemed essential.

Education/ Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a higher level production employee.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with Testing of Analog and Digital Electronics.
• Ability to troubleshoot PCBA’s to component level.
• Ability to read and use a schematic for troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Assemblies.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have knowledge of machining and assembly practices, tools and fixturing.
• This position requires that the person be able to work independently; as well as excelling in a team environment.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools- such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

AOI Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Navigate and operate in Windows OS environment performing proper PC boot up and shut down and able to navigate drop down menus
• Print & Documentation recognition and interpretation of Customer/EBW Prints, WI’s/VA’s, Bill of Material, and IPC
• Inspect the board under the camera to ensure solderablity to be IPC compliant, part placement correct, and for orientation and polarity to be accurate.
• Advise Tech if part is off from what the silkscreen on the PCB’s shows.
• Check for skewing, no solder and missing parts. Crucial visual inspection of the board to ensure quality

Education/ Experience:

• High School Education or Equivalent is required.
• Experience in Electronics and/ production environment preferred
